Nathan Polsky Announces Bid For Commissioner

Nathan Polsky has made county property taxes a central issue of his campaign, citing concerns from local residents about rising tax burdens. He has pledged to oppose tax increases, work to lower county property tax rates, and advocate for eliminating county property taxes on owner-occupied homesteads.

“Property ownership should mean security, not permanent rent paid to the government,” Polsky said. “County government should respect property rights and live within its means instead of relying on ever-increasing tax collections.”

While county commissioners do not determine property values, Polsky argues that county leadership plays a key role in how appraisal-driven revenue growth is managed. He has called for fiscal restraint, responsible budgeting, and increased transparency in how taxpayer dollars are spent.

Polsky also supports reducing what he describes as unnecessary regulations on private property, while maintaining accountability when land use directly impacts others. He has stated his opposition to the use of eminent domain and says protecting landowners from government seizure of property would be a priority if elected.

A supporter of free-market approaches, Polsky favors cost-effective and voluntary solutions over expanding government programs or increasing spending. He brings a background in information technology, which he says informs his focus on efficiency, accountability, and transparency in public operations.

A lifelong Texan and family man, Polsky says his campaign is focused on protecting homeowners and landowners and preserving the ability of families to live and work on their property with minimal government interference.
