Turning Point USA to Host Student Meeting at Lamar County Courthouse Oct. 30

The local chapter of Turning Point USA will hold a meeting on Wednesday, October 30, at the Lamar County Courthouse. The event is open to all high school students in the area.

Turning Point USA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk. According to the organization, its mission is to educate and equip students to engage in civic leadership and promote principles such as fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government.

“Our mission at this meeting is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government,” said Collin Bell, president of the local chapter. “We are a non-partisan group empowering students.”

The event will include free pizza, and organizers say Ben Franklin will be making an appearance.
