Five Stolen Vehicles and Multiple Firearms Recovered Following Multi-Agency Investigation in Lamar County

A coordinated effort between several North Texas law enforcement agencies led to the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles and firearms, along with the arrest of three suspects connected to a string of thefts in Lamar County.

In the early morning hours of September 30, Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies, joined by officers from the Reno Police Department, Paris Police Department, Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force, and members of the Lamar County Drone Team, responded to reports of vehicle burglaries and a suspicious white Ford pickup in Reno.

Deputies quickly located the pickup, but as they approached, three suspects fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, Paris Police detained one of the individuals, identified as Davion Hill, who was later arrested by the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office for evading detention.

Stolen Guns and Vehicles Recovered

During the initial search, investigators recovered three firearms, two of which had been reported stolen locally. The white Ford pickup itself was also confirmed to be stolen from Lamar County.

As the investigation continued, detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence in Paris, where two additional stolen firearms were discovered. In total, law enforcement recovered five firearms — four of them confirmed stolen — and five stolen vehicles reported from Paris and Lamar County.

Three Suspects Arrested

Authorities identified and arrested Tyrone Reed, Isiah Black, and Davion Hill on two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity. Reed and Black remain in the Lamar County Jail with bonds set at $20,000 each, while Hill has posted bond and been released pending further proceedings.

Teamwork Credited for Quick Recovery

Within one week of the initial reports, all stolen vehicles and most of the stolen firearms were recovered. Lamar County Sheriff’s officials credited the cooperation and professionalism of every agency involved for the swift results.

“The quick recovery of these stolen vehicles and firearms is a direct result of the professionalism and dedication of every agency involved,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Thanks to the cooperation between our deputies, the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force, the Paris and Reno Police Departments, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Lamar County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, three individuals were arrested and removed from our streets, helping make our city and county safer.”

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing as they continue working to identify any additional suspects or related thefts in the area.
