Four Arrested in Narcotics Investigation in Clarksville

Four people were taken into custody on September 18 after law enforcement executed a narcotics search warrant at a Clarksville residence.

The Red River County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Clarksville Police Department, carried out the warrant at a home located at 600 West 11th Street.

During the search, investigators recovered several controlled substances, including methamphetamine and THC wax. A stolen motorcycle—reported missing out of Red River County—was also found on the property.

Arrested Individuals:

  • Kenneth Ronald Hart, 37
  • Mary Katherine Williams, 27
  • Mark Richard Murphree, 62
  • Leslie Walker Murphree, 55

Charges Filed Against All Four:

  • Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (>1g <4g)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (>4g <400g)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 (<28g)
  • Possession of Marijuana (<2oz)
  • Theft of Property ($2,500–$30,000)
  • Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity

Additional Charges:

  • Mary Katherine Williams was also booked on an outstanding Titus County warrant for Violation of Probation – Forgery of a Financial Instrument.
  • Mark Richard Murphree faces an added charge of Tampering with Evidence.

In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to addressing drug-related crime:

“The Red River County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to proactive enforcement efforts to curb illegal drug activity and associated criminal behavior in our community.”

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
