Auto-Pedestrian Accident on 20th NE
On September 12, Paris police responded to an auto-pedestrian accident in the 200 block of 20th NE. The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and immediately called 911 after striking the pedestrian.
Initial reports to emergency services suggested that the driver had left the area. However, when officers arrived, they confirmed that the driver was still present, had contacted 911, and fully cooperated with the investigation.
The pedestrian received treatment at the scene before being transported by Paris EMS to Paris Regional Medical Center. From there, the patient was airlifted to a medical facility in the Dallas–Fort Worth area for further care.
At this time, all individuals and vehicles involved in the incident have been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
